Not for all bikes February 24, 2010 C. Meawad I have an older Trek 7000 Mountain bike (front suspension). and the front fender fits, but the rear fender does not. The design of my bike doesn't allow the rear brackets to attach.
Good basic mountain bike fenders, excellent value November 26, 2009 Seth T. Hoffman 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
You really can't beat these for the price. They're not perfect, but considering the price and the fact that they're not full fenders, I really can't knock them.
I bought these for my college commuter bike, which is a mid-quality suspension-fork mountain bike with 2.125x26" tires. They fit pretty well, albeit with a few snags as one should expect for universal fenders of any kind. Some of the brackets took a bit of tweaking, but everything went together with the included hardware.
The front fender does a great job of catching water thrown off the wheel and it conforms well to my 26" tire. It does bounce a bit on bumps and smacks the tire, but the bottom is tapered away from the tire so it doesn't get caught, it just slaps the tire once.
The rear fender isn't quite as nice as the front one as it arches up over the rear tire, leaving about a 3" gap at the top of the tire. It has a steel stiffener which helps keep it aligned over the tire, but it is still somewhat flexible side-to-side due to the lack of truly solid mounting brackets. It does the job, but it looks a little funny. It also doesn't protect the seatpost and bottom bracket from water, so your feet will catch a bit of water from here. This really isn't the fault of the fenders though, as they aren't intended to be full fenders.
Overall, I'd recommend these, especially considering how difficult it can be to find even decent fenders for mountain bikes. Their utilitarian performance combined with the low price makes them an excellent value.
Not for all Bikes - Check your bike stem first August 28, 2009 K. Pereira (Chicago, IL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have a 2009 Trek 7300 Hybird that I ride daily to and from work, even in the rain. The front fender fits beautifully on it and has prevented my bike from picking up a lot of sticky road gunk. The rear fender however does not fit at all...but that's more a design of my rear bike stem than a problem with this fender. Therefore the rear fender is NOT universal...I bought the SKS X-Tra Dry Rear Bicycle Fender as a replacement, which does fit and is universal (goes around any bicycle seat rod). Make sure you know how your bike forks are designed.

Nice fender, but does'nt fit my bike. Too late to send it back. Good product, though.
Keeps your pants and bag cleaner April 13, 2009 Frank 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I ride my bike about 3 miles daily around my campus. These mudguards keep my pants and backpack dry and clean and. I used zip-ties to attach the rear fender because my frame wasn't the type the fender was designed for, but it still works fine.
